 This stunning quilt designed by Gail Stalleydepicts a gathering of delightful, sometimes mischievous, and often childlike cats as only a mother could see them.  In this take off from the familiar poem, “Monday’s Child”, there is one cat for each day of the week, a group of seven kittens, and one silhouetted cat pulling it all together with a ball of variegated yarn. The words of the poem echo the pattern created by the unwinding yarn, each phrase placed near the appropriate block.   This project is an 11-pattern project.
