Lucy Winter turned her rented Ford Taurus into the curved driveway of Winterlodge faster than she should have. Gravel sprayed onto the grassy lawn. Uncle Reino should have come out on the porch waving his fist at her and telling her she would have to pick up each rock by hand and put it back. But he had been murdered the previous spring in a senseless burst of violence that had erupted at the family lodge, and now nothing was the same...

...Aunt Lucille and Grandma Winter were going to the International Quilt Festival that was held every year in Houston during Halloween week. In the past, Lucy had taken her Grandmother to this event, since she and Grandma Winter were the quilters in the family. Aunt Lucille and Uncle Reino hosted a Halloween party and pumpkin carving contest that drew people from all the lodges around the south end of Flathead Lake as well as a fair number of local artists from Polson during that same week. Reservations were made a year in advance, so canceling the event was out of the question, but Aunt Lucille wasn’t up to hosting it alone. This year, Lucy and her childhood friend Ryan, who now ran the guide business the lodge used, would put on the party with the help of Aunt Dotty, while Grandma and Aunt Lucille attended the quilt show with Lucille’s sister Beth....

Join Lucy, Ryan and the family in this exciting halloween adventure while making this beautiful quilt top. This serial story and block of the month is a four month program. Sign up and each month for four months you will receive instructions, pattern, fabric and a chapter of the story.
